Who is Links of Hope Network?
Links of Hope Network is a mission of the Underground Network, a 501(C)3 organization. Their poverty alleviating projects teach and equip marginalized women and deaf artisans in developing countries to make handcrafted goods in order to ean susatainable income for food, education and healthcare. To this day, Links of Hope has trained and equipped over 100 artisans in jewelry making!
In 2012, Links of Hope worked with DOORS International in Kenya and Honduras, helping deaf artisans with new designs, training, marketing their products & selling them in the U.S.
Today, Links of Hope continues their work in Honduras,
working with the deaf artisans they trained in La Ceiba, Honduras with an organization called Signs of Love (a ministry that teaches sign language to rural, deaf children and adults). They continue to support the Deaf Vocational School in Tegucigalpa (His Love In Action) where they have worked hard to provide tools, sewing machines, handcrafted goods and the salary for their only deaf teacher.
It fills my heart with joy to have found Links of Hope, and to have had the opportunity to learn about their mission, and the love and care they express through their passion to help others who need it most.
You can find Links of Hope on Etsy, as they sell an array of beautiful handcrafted beaded wraps and cuffs. They can personalize each of these to your liking, and there are so many options to choose from!
When these wraps arrived, I was in awe! They are even more beautiful in person- if you could imagine!
This is wrap came with a gold Stainless steel Medical ID charm, and is perfect to note allergies, along with medical conditions.
All bracelets are handcrafted from leather and fire-polished glass beads, and proceeds go towards supporting marginalized and deaf artisans.
