Save the Bees!

“Unique among all God’s creatures, only the honeybee improves the environment and preys not on any other species.”

~ Royden Brown

I think we could all take some notes from the honeybees! I mean, let’s face it, our world would be no world at all if it weren’t for the bees! Over 100 crop species that provide 90 per cent of the world’s food, over 70 are pollinated by bees, and quite frankly, I don’t want to think about a world without all my favorite fruits and veggies. And aside from that, it produces honey, which holds therapeutic, medicinal and nutritional value. I think it’s safe to say, we need the bees, and it’s important to respect them and do what we can to save them. Help reduce pesticides, buy local & plant pollinators!

The bees certainly make the world a happier place. Just ask my littles, they LOVE their fruits and veggies, and they know the bee’s role.
